Welcome to my Crafting World!

Hi! My name is Maria, I am 34 years old and I'm a certified Craft-a-holic! LOL. I make different kinds of projects from Cards (which is my favourite), Art Tags, Mini Albums, Jewelries, Candles, Party Favours etc...

I've created this blog to share my projects and ideas to everyone who loves to craft.

Being a Certified Craft-A-Holic, you would expect to see me creating 3-4 projects simultaneously in one night. But of course, I don't finish them all in one night, esp. when I am doing a project that involves Mixed Media. I don't use a heat tool to dry my mixed media projects, as it ruins the project. Using a heat tool to dry your projects, tends to create a lot of air bubbles on the projects, which doesn't look nice. I find air dried projects to be more studier. It also give the project a neater look.

I craft every night, I would make one finished Card, one unfinished Album (which I do finish later on, after the drying when I am using Mod Podge or after cutting all the fussy cuts) and one unfinished Mixed Media Project (which I do finish later on, after the drying or so). Then the next night I will continue doing my Album to try and finish it (depends also if I am still using Mod Podge), then my Mixed Media (depends if I still need to use other Wet Medium) and another Card or I will go and jump on my fourth project. Believe me, I have a lot of projects in mind all the time. What I always do is Sketch or Write down my projects using my Phone, so that I won't forget it. I am not good in drawing I just Doodle it. LOL. If crafting is an Office Job, I will be very happy to go to my workplace everyday. I usually craft at night, due to the fact that I am a stay-at-home mom and I have an almost 2 year old son who loves to craft with me. Believe it or not, he does the Mod Podging for my projects, of course with my guidance, and some paintings too. But since I'm a confessed Craft-a-holic, I try to finish every house chores in the morning before my son comes back from the Nursery so I can craft! I take advantage of watching TV with my husband and with my son by fussy cutting while watching and I also take advantage of texturing or gluing onmy projects while cooking. "Imagine your life with me, if I'm your wife! LOL". But nonetheless. I don't forget my Duties as a Wife and a Mom. I see to it that everything is in order everyday before I craft, food is ready, house is clean and my son is well fed. Playtime with my son is crafting with him, so I don't have a problem at all, because he enjoys it, or I take him out, which he loves to do as well.

I hope you all will enjoy my posts. Please do leave a comment, follow me or add me to your circle.

Happy Crafting!

I also would like to introduce my "Knuckle Bag Mini Bouquet".
It is a very convenient bouquet for your Wedding Entourage.  I have designed it because I was part of an entourage all the time for my cousins and my friends' wedding, but i always having a difficulty on where to put my phone and money, since it doesnt look good to walk down the aisle carrying a phone or whatever it is that i needed to be with me.  And its not pleasing to see a bride's maid carrying a bag on the left hand and a bouquet of flower on the right hand.  Too much too handle!!

Enough of my blabber...  Selfie Addicts!!!  here it goes.....

The Front
the bag is made out of a stretchable faux leather with a red felt lining inside.
The lock is a neodymium magnet.
The handle I have made it with a gold faux leather in a simple knuckle shape.
Back Side.  Sorry I was not able to take a picture of the inside before giving it to a friend of mine.

The flowers are made out of satin ribbons.  Embellished it with some metal findings, feathers, tassel and tule.

How its used.

Take your wedding to the next level with this elegant Mini Knuckle Bouquet!

Hope ya'll enjoyed it!

MARIA E. DESIGNS - DAMASK FAN DIE SET

Hello Everyone!!

I've been sick for some time, but I want to make sure that I blog this month, since my last blog was January 2018.

Today I wanted to share a die that I have designed, the Damask Fan Die Set.  I've been looking thru some dies in the market that I want to create with, but since there is no such die available, I have it made from dies direct.  I have designed this die to use for wedding invitations, if you are interested to buy one, you can purchase it at www.jcslittlehands.com, if you are staying in the Philippines.  If not you can email them to order at info@jcslittlehands.com so they can guide you on how to purchase it.

Here it goes....

It is a three die set:  One is the fan, One is the insert of the fan and one is for the tag.

Sample Project:  I have used a black cardstock.  Ive cut out two for the fan and stick it together to make it more sturdier.

KATE SPADE INSPIRED - VINTAGE THEME EXPLOSION BOX WEDDING INVITATION

Hello Crafters!!

Today I want to share a VINTAGE WEDDING INVITATION EXPLOSION BOX SAMPLE that I have made for a client, with a KATE SPADE INSPIRED THEME. I have the outer surface of the box laminated using modge podge and I have designed everything from the pattern paper used (which is easy since its just a black and white stripes, just had it done with photoshop and printed it, the inserts and the whole concept with Kate Spade as an inspiration and putting in mind that it should be quite vintage and classy. So here it goes....

The Box itself laminated with modge podge and decorated with a tag, flowers and ribbon.
Top Portion of the box
The Tag distressed with vintage photo.
Exploded Box
Exploded Box
I used Tonic Studios Cake Box Die for the Center and decorated it with some bow and flowers.

RSVP WITH ENVELOPE
I used a sue wilson die to die cut the envelope.

Thats it!  I hope you enjoy it! for questions, please do comment below!
